Start of North Sea Group Brazil
On Monday 22 March 2010, North Sea Group marked the start of its operations in Brazil by organising a cocktail party in Sao Paulo. A studio formed the venue for a social evening where around 65 people celebrated the fact that the company was given the green light for starting operations under the Brazilian legal entity. In the weeks to come, the office will be further equipped and fitted out (in the same style as the new head office in Dordrecht). In that period a number of licences for various activities must also be applied for. During the cocktail party the start of the new enterprise, North Sea Global Ethanol, was announced. This company is responsible for many of the North Sea Group activities in Brazil. The office is scheduled for completion mid-April, while the licences are expected to be in place over the next two months. Mark Wolthuis has been appointed general manager for the Brazilian activities.
